DBA services for US companies.
Your night is our working day.
Who in the US hires us.
- Mid-market US businesses running SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL in production without a dedicated DBA, where a sysadmin or a developer covers the database when something breaks.
- IT leaders who want a named engineer with direct contact details rather than a managed-service ticket queue, and who are comparing the cost of that with a senior US hire.
- SaaS and software companies whose product runs on PostgreSQL or SQL Server, with engineers administering it between releases.
- Estates on SQL Server 2016 or 2017, Oracle 19c or PostgreSQL 14 with the end-of-support date in view and no upgrade plan written down.
- Teams that need maintenance windows, restore tests and patching done overnight without paying for a night shift.

Security review, access, then a named DBA.
Your security questionnaire and agreements
We complete your security questionnaire and sign your data processing agreement and security schedule before any access exists. Your security team is welcome to review how access, logging and auditing work before anything starts.
Access through your own path
Access runs through your VPN, bastion host or jump server, with named accounts and multi-factor authentication. The work happens inside your environment, on your servers or in your cloud account, and nothing is copied out.
Health check, then one USD retainer
A senior DBA assesses the estate through that access and writes a prioritized list. Ongoing cover then runs under one fixed monthly retainer quoted in USD, with response commitments we report against.

Planned work goes into the change windows you set; for most US clients that means our ordinary working day.
Your controls govern the access, not ours.
- Named accounts, MFA and least privilege, inside your environment
- Sessions and elevated actions logged where your team can see them
- Security questionnaire completed and agreements signed before access
- No client data held, exported or processed on our systems

Questions US clients ask.
Are you a US company?
No. RadixTrie is a South African company founded in 2019, with engineers in Johannesburg and Stellenbosch working in UTC+2. We serve US clients remotely, inside their own environments, with retainers quoted in USD. The time difference is the advantage: your overnight maintenance is our working day.
Can you cover our overnight maintenance windows?
Yes, and that is the most common reason US clients engage us. Our 08:00 to 17:00 working day falls between about 10 p.m. and 11 a.m. Eastern, so patching, upgrades, index work and restore tests run in your night with senior engineers awake and watching.
How do you handle security reviews and compliance questionnaires?
We complete your questionnaire and sign your data processing agreement and security schedule before any access exists. Access is through your VPN or bastion host with named accounts, multi-factor authentication and least privilege, and your logs show what was done. The data never leaves your environment.
Do you support databases on AWS and Azure?
Yes. We administer SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL on premises, on virtual machines and on the managed database services of AWS and Azure, and we plan and run the move between them when that is the right answer for the workload. Moving SQL Server to Azure
How is the retainer priced?
As one fixed monthly figure quoted in USD, with the scope, the platforms covered and the response commitments written down. No per-ticket billing and no separate after-hours charge. The figure depends on the estate, so it follows the health check.
Do you replace our DBA or work with them?
Either. Some clients hand the database tier over entirely; others keep an in-house DBA or a development team in charge and use us for senior cover, overnight work or projects. The split is agreed upfront and written into the scope.
How do we start?
Use the form on this page or email expert@radixtrie.com. A senior DBA replies directly, and the first conversation is about understanding your estate, not selling to it.
